The Greenwood Eagles volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the visiting Palmetto Mustangs to 0 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Eagles now have a 10-19 record. They play next when they travel to Greenville for a AAAAA Region 1 game on Tuesday, October 7. Greenwood will confront a Red Raiders squad coming off a 3-1 league win over Easley (Easley, SC). The Red Raiders record now stands at 16-5.
The Mustangs (2-11) will now prepare for their game against Belton-Honea Path (Honea Path, SC). The Bears go into the non-league game with a 3-13 record. In their last game, Belton-Honea Path went down by Pendleton (Pendleton, SC), 3-1, in a league game.
