Texas High School Volleyball - Jim Ned over Merkel

Fans at Saturday's league contest between the Jim Ned Indians (Tuscola, TX) and the host Merkel Badgers (Merkel, TX), observed Jim Ned's volleyball team top Merkel by a count of 3-1.

The Indians (22-9) will now prepare for their contest against Wall (Wall, TX). The Hawks go into the 3A Region I District 6 battle with a 26-7 record. In their last battle, Wall achieved victory over Clyde (Clyde, TX), 3-0, in a league battle.

The Badgers now own a 12-15 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Clyde for a 3A Region I District 6 battle on Tuesday, October 7. Merkel will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Wall (Wall, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 29-8.
