The Mineral County Serpents topped the visiting Sage Ridge Scorpions volleyball squad by a final score of 3-1 in Saturday's league game.

Next up, the Serpents confront the Smith Valley Bulldogs (Smith, NV) in a 1A Western game, on Wednesday, October 8. Mineral County will attempt to better on its 6-19 season record. The Bulldogs come into the outing with a 11-9 record after their 3-1 league win over Coleville (Coleville, CA).

With the loss, Sage Ridge drops to 4-5 on the year. The Scorpions host Pyramid Lake (Nixon, NV) to confront the Lakers in a 1A Western game on Tuesday, October 7. The Lakers enter the game with a record of 8-6. Pyramid Lake lost 3-0 in their recent non-league bout against McDermitt (McDermitt, NV)
