Fans at Saturday's league contest between the Rudyard Bulldogs (Rudyard, MI) and the visiting Newberry Indians (Newberry, MI), observed Rudyard's volleyball team top Newberry by a count of 2-0.

The Bulldogs (13-7) will now prepare for their battle against Cheboygan (Cheboygan, MI). The Chiefs go into the non-league battle with a 16-2 record. In their last battle, Cheboygan achieved victory over Charlevoix (Charlevoix, MI), 1-0, in a league battle.

The Indians now own a 11-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Escanaba for a non-league battle on Saturday, October 4. Newberry will meet a Eskymos team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Iron Mountain (Iron Mountain, MI). The Eskymos record now stands at 8-7.
