In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Oakland Christian Lancers volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Ubly Bearcats.

The Lancers (13-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Traverse City Central (Traverse City, MI). The Trojans come into the non-league challenge with a 13-7 record. In their last challenge, Traverse City Central nudged Alpena (Alpena, MI), 3-1, in a league test.

The Bearcats now own a 16-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Traverse City Central for a non-league test on Saturday, October 4. Ubly will face a Trojans squad coming off a 3-1 league win over Alpena (Alpena, MI). The Trojans record now stands at 13-7.
