In Wednesday's league battle, the visiting Newton-Conover Red Devils soccer squad scored a close 3-2 triumph over the West Caldwell Warriors.
The Red Devils (10-3) will now prepare for their battle against Lincolnton (Lincolnton, NC). The Wolves come into the Catawba Valley Athletic 2A battle with a 5-9 record. In their last battle, Lincolnton was nudged by Hough (Cornelius, NC), 4-1, in a non-league battle.
