The Tazewell Bulldogs held off the visiting Fort Chiswell Pioneers volleyball team by a score of 3-2 in Wednesday's non-league match.

Next up, the Bulldogs battle the Virginia High Bearcats (Bristol, VA) in a Southwest match, on Thursday, October 6. Tazewell will attempt to advance on its 2-10 season record. The Bearcats come into the match with a 5-10 record after their 3-1 league loss to Marion (Marion, VA).

With the loss, Fort Chiswell drops to 2-14 on the campaign. The Pioneers travel to Giles (Pearisburg, VA) to play the Spartans in a Mountain Empire bout on Thursday, October 6. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 13-3. Giles won 3-0 in their recent league bout against Grayson County (Independence, VA)
