In Thursday's non-league battle, the visiting Ardrey Kell Knights volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the South Mecklenburg Sabres.
The Knights (14-5) will now prepare for their battle against Providence (Charlotte, NC). The Panthers come into the non-league battle with a 10-6 record. In their last battle, Providence defeated Rocky River (Mint Hill, NC), 2-0, in a non-league battle.
In their next game, the Sabres confront the Butler Bulldogs (Matthews, NC) in a non-league test, on Monday, October 9. South Mecklenburg will attempt to improve on its 4-12 season record. The Bulldogs enter the test with a 3-10 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Charlotte Catholic (Charlotte, NC).
