The George Wythe Maroons volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the visiting Bland County Bears to 0 in the Maroons non-league victory on Thursday.

The Maroons now have a 9-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Fort Chiswell for a non-league game on Tuesday, October 10.

The Bears (5-8) will now prepare for their game against Eastern Montgomery (Elliston, VA). The Mustangs enter the non-league game with a 8-3 record. In their last game, Eastern Montgomery gained a win over Parry McCluer (Buena Vista, VA), 2-0, in a non-league game.
