The Eastern Montgomery Mustangs topped the host Parry McCluer Fighting Blues volleyball team by a score of 2-0 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Mustangs now have a 8-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bland County for a non-league test on Monday, October 9. Eastern Montgomery will confront a Bears team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to George Wythe (Wytheville, VA). The Bears record now stands at 5-7.

The Fighting Blues (0-11) will now prepare for their test against Amherst County (Amherst, VA). The Lancers enter the non-league test with a 9-6 record. In their last test, Amherst County gained a win over Heritage (Lynchburg, VA), 2-0, in a non-league test.
