The Ashley Screaming Eagle soccer team scored 2 points and limited the host Hoggard Vikings to 1 in the Screaming Eagle league victory on Thursday.
Next, the Screaming Eagle face the Laney Buccaneers (Wilmington, NC) in a Mideastern 3A/4A contest, on Tuesday, October 10. Ashley will attempt to better on its 11-3 season record. The Buccaneers enter the contest with a 8-5 record after their 7-0 league win over West Brunswick (Shallotte, NC).
The Vikings now have a 12-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Brunswick for a Mideastern 3A/4A contest on Tuesday, October 10. Hoggard will face a Scorpions team coming off a 5-0 league loss to New Hanover (Wilmington, NC). The Scorpions record now stands at 6-9.
