The crowd at Thursday's league test between the East Surry Cardinals (Pilot Mountain, NC) and the host North Wilkes Vikings (Hays, NC), saw East Surry's soccer squad knock off North Wilkes by a margin of 2-0.

The Cardinals now sport a 4-10 record. They play next when they host Wilkes Central for a Foothills 2A test on Monday, October 9. East Surry will meet a Eagles squad coming off a 1-1 league Surry Central (Dobson, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 3-8.

With the loss, North Wilkes drops to 1-12 on the season. The Vikings host West Wilkes (Millers Creek, NC) to meet the Blackhawks in a Foothills 2A test on Monday, October 9. The Blackhawks come into the test with a record of 1-11. West Wilkes lost 8-0 in their recent league test against Forbush (East Bend, NC)
