In Thursday's non-league contest, the East Coweta Indians (Sharpsburg, GA) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Pike County Pirates (Zebulon, GA), by a margin of 15-0.
With the triumph, East Coweta moves its record to 23-3 on the year. The Indians host Westlake (Atlanta, GA) to play the Lions in a 7A Region 2 contest on Monday, October 9. The Lions come into the contest with a record of 6-11. Westlake won 14-1 in their recent non-league contest against Langston Hughes (Fairburn, GA)
In their next game, the Pirates play the Northgate Vikings (Newnan, GA) in a non-league contest, on Wednesday, October 11. Pike County will attempt to move on its 15-9 season record. The Vikings come into the contest with a 15-10 record after their 11-10 non-league win over Heard County (Franklin, GA).
