The Moberly Spartans routed the host Marshall Owls softball squad by a final score of 13-1 in Thursday's non-league battle.

The Spartans (11-9) will now prepare for their battle against Palmyra (Palmyra, MO). The Panthers go into the non-league battle with a 6-13 record. In their last battle, Palmyra was routed by Centralia (Centralia, MO), 11-1, in a non-league battle.

The Owls now possess a 2-19 record. They play next when they host Kirksville for a Class 3 District 13 battle on Tuesday, October 10. Marshall will meet a Tigers squad coming off a 6-1 non-league win over Battle (Columbia, MO). The Tigers record now stands at 15-9.
