Wheeler County Bulldogs (Alamo, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Treutlen Vikings (Soperton, GA), 7-0 in a league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 15-10 record. They take the field next when they host Swainsboro for a non-league challenge on Monday, October 9. Wheeler County will face a Tigers squad coming off a 20-1 league win over Dublin (Dublin, GA). The Tigers record now stands at 8-13.

With the loss, Treutlen falls to 0-12 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Telfair County (McRae, GA) to face the Trojans in a 1A D-II Region 4 challenge on Tuesday, October 10. The Trojans enter the challenge with a record of 9-9. Telfair County lost 11-4 in their recent league challenge against Wilcox County (Rochelle, GA)
