In Thursday's league battle, the host Crater Comets volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Ashland Grizzlies.
The Comets (16-7) will now prepare for their battle against North Eugene (Eugene, OR). The Highlanders come into the 5A Midwestern battle with a 4-16 record. In their last battle, North Eugene lost by Springfield (Springfield, OR), 3-0, in a league battle.
Next, the Grizzlies clash with the Springfield Millers (Springfield, OR) in a 5A Midwestern battle, on Tuesday, October 10. Ashland will attempt to advance on its 4-14 season record. The Millers come into the battle with a 10-12 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Cascade Christian (Medford, OR).
