Virginia High School Volleyball - Bland County over George Wythe

October 5, 2023: Wytheville, VA 24382

Bland County Bears (Rocky Gap, VA) backers left the game in high spirits Thursday as they observed their volleyball squad top the host George Wythe Maroons (Wytheville, VA), 3-1 in a league match.

Next up, the Bears battle the Eastern Montgomery Mustangs (Elliston, VA) in a non-league match, on Monday, October 9. Bland County will attempt to better on its 12-4 season record. The Mustangs come into the match with a 5-9 record after their 3-0 league loss to Parry McCluer (Buena Vista, VA).

With the loss, George Wythe drops to 4-11 on the campaign. The Maroons travel to Fort Chiswell (Max Meadows, VA) to battle the Pioneers in a Mountain Empire match on Tuesday, October 10. The Pioneers come into the match with a record of 4-10.
