Virginia High School Volleyball - Castlewood edged by Rye Cove

The Rye Cove Eagles held off the host Castlewood Blue Devils volleyball team by a score of 3-2 in Thursday's league test.

The Eagles now have a 4-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Eastside for a Cumberland test on Tuesday, October 10. Rye Cove will confront a Spartans team coming off a 3-2 league win over J.I. Burton (Norton, VA). The Spartans record now stands at 12-6.

The Blue Devils (8-6) will now prepare for their test against Twin Springs (Nickelsville, VA). The Titans enter the Cumberland test with a 5-8 record. In their last test, Twin Springs was nudged by Thomas Walker (Ewing, VA), 3-0, in a league test.
