The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the Cohoes Tigers (Cohoes, NY) and the host La Salle Institute Cadets (Troy, NY), saw Cohoes's volleyball squad beat La Salle Institute by a tally of 3-1.

With the win, Cohoes upgrades its record to 5-7 on the year. The Tigers host Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk (Ravena, NY) to play the Indians in a Section 2 Colonial - Liberty bout on Tuesday, October 10. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 3-9. Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk won 3-0 in their recent league bout against Albany Academy for Girls (Albany, NY)

The Cadets now own a 0-15 record. They play next when they travel to Fort Edward for a non-league bout on Saturday, October 7. La Salle Institute will play a Flying Forts squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Lake George (Lake George, NY). The Flying Forts record now stands at 7-2.
