The DeQuincy Tigers held off the visiting Washington-Marion Charging Indians volleyball team by a score of 3-2 in Thursday's league test.
The Tigers now have a 4-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Leesville for a Division III District 1 test on Monday, October 9. DeQuincy will confront a Wampus Cats team coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Opelousas (Opelousas, LA). The Wampus Cats record now stands at 3-14.
The Charging Indians (3-11) will now prepare for their test against LaGrange (Lake Charles, LA). The Gators enter the non-league test with a 11-6 record. In their last test, LaGrange was nudged by Beau Chene (Arnaudville, LA), 3-0, in a league test.
