The Whitmire Wolverines volleyball team (Whitmire, SC), was dropped 3-1 in Thursday's league challenge with the visiting Dixie Hornets (Due West, SC)

The Hornets (6-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Abbeville (Abbeville, SC). The Panthers enter the non-league challenge with a 10-3 record. In their last challenge, Abbeville defeated Saluda (Saluda, SC), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Wolverines meet the Thornwell Saints (Clinton, SC) in a A Region 2 challenge, on Tuesday, October 10. Whitmire will attempt to move on its 9-3 season record. The Saints enter the challenge with a 8-4 record after their 3-0 league win over South Carolina School for the Deaf & Blind (Spartanburg, SC).
