In Thursday's league battle, the visiting Fairfield Central Griffins volleyball team scored a tight 3-2 triumph over the Eau Claire Shamrocks.
The Griffins (2-5) will now prepare for their battle against Keenan (Columbia, SC). The Raiders come into the AA Region 4 battle with a 14-9 record. In their last battle, Keenan nudged Richland Northeast (Columbia, SC), 3-0, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Shamrocks encounter the Columbia Capitals (Columbia, SC) in a AA Region 4 battle, on Tuesday, October 10. Eau Claire will attempt to advance on its 3-10 season record. The Capitals come into the battle with a 2-9 record after their 0-0 league Gray Collegiate Academy (West Columbia, SC).
