The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the False River Gators (New Roads, LA) and the visiting Thrive Academy Bulldogs (Baton Rouge, LA), saw False River's volleyball squad nip Thrive Academy by a tally of 3-2.

With the win, False River upgrades its record to 3-7 on the year. The Gators host Istrouma (Baton Rouge, LA) to play the Indians in a non-league bout on Monday, October 9. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 8-6.

The Bulldogs now own a 9-4 record. They play next when they host Louisiana School for the Deaf for a Division V District 5 bout on Monday, October 9.
