The Gateway Christian topped the visiting Portsmouth Christian Patriots volleyball team by a score of 3-0 in Thursday's league test.
The now have a 5-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Virginia Academy for a non-league test on Saturday, October 7. Gateway Christian will confront a Patriots team coming off a 3-1 non-league win over St. Anne's-Belfield (Charlottesville, VA). The Patriots record now stands at 24-6.
The Patriots (0-12) will now prepare for their test against Isle of Wight Academy (Isle of Wight, VA). The Chargers enter the non-league test with a 4-10 record. In their last test, Isle of Wight Academy was knocked off by StoneBridge (Chesapeake, VA), 3-0, in a non-league test.
