The Mallard Creek Mavericks volleyball team (Charlotte, NC), was dropped 3-1 in Thursday's league challenge with the visiting Hough Huskies (Cornelius, NC)

The Huskies (24-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Harding University (Charlotte, NC). The Rams enter the non-league challenge with a 0-13 record. In their last challenge, Harding University was dropped by West Charlotte (Charlotte, NC), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Mavericks meet the West Mecklenburg Hawks (Charlotte, NC) in a Queen City 3A/4A challenge, on Tuesday, October 10. Mallard Creek will attempt to move on its 13-10 season record.
