The Newcomb Skyhawks volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the host Hozho Academy Wolves to 0 in the Skyhawks non-league victory on Thursday.
The Skyhawks now possess a 5-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wingate for a 3A District 1 game on Tuesday, October 10. Newcomb will meet a Bears team coming off a 3-2 league loss to Zuni (Zuni, NM). The Bears record now stands at 2-11.
The Wolves (3-11) will now prepare for their game against To'hajiilee (To'hajiilee, NM). The Warriors enter the non-league game with a 4-7 record. In their last game, To'hajiilee defeated Mountainair (Mountainair, NM), 3-0, in a non-league game.
