In Thursday's league battle, the host Mayfair Monsoons volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Lynwood Knights.

The Monsoons (16-7) will now prepare for their battle against Firebaugh (Lynwood, CA). The Falcons come into the Suburban battle with a 15-13 record. In their last battle, Firebaugh lost by Norwalk (Norwalk, CA), 3-1, in a league battle.

Next, the Knights clash with the Bellflower Buccaneers (Bellflower, CA) in a Suburban battle, on Tuesday, October 10. Lynwood will attempt to advance on its 4-18 season record. The Buccaneers come into the battle with a 7-18 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Peninsula (Rolling Hills Estates, CA).
