The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Ruston Bearcats (Ruston, LA) and the host Ouachita Parish Lions (Monroe, LA), saw Ruston's volleyball squad beat Ouachita Parish by a tally of 3-0.
With the win, Ruston upgrades its record to 18-7 on the year. The Bearcats host Alexandria (Alexandria, LA) to play the Trojans in a bout on Tuesday, October 10. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 9-11.
The Lions now own a 6-10 record. They play next when they host Northwood for a Division II District 1 bout on Tuesday, October 10. Ouachita Parish will play a Falcons squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Caddo Magnet (Shreveport, LA). The Falcons record now stands at 11-6.
