The Rainier Columbians volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the host Riverdale Mavericks to 0 in the Columbians league victory on Thursday.
The Columbians now have a 8-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Corbett for a non-league game on Saturday, October 7. Rainier will confront a Cardinals team coming off a 3-0 league win over Riverdale (Portland, OR). The Cardinals record now stands at 11-2.
The Mavericks (2-11) will now prepare for their game against Warrenton (Warrenton, OR). The Warriors enter the 3A Coastal Range game with a 13-5 record. In their last game, Warrenton dropped by Marist (Eugene, OR), 2-0, in a non-league game.
