In Thursday's league contest, the Westwood Redhawks (Blythewood, SC) volleyball squad knocked off the visiting Ridge View Blazers (Columbia, SC), by a margin of 3-0.

Next up, the Redhawks battle the Irmo Yellowjackets (Columbia, SC) in a AAAA Region 5 contest, on Tuesday, October 10. Westwood will attempt to better on its 13-1 season record. The Yellowjackets come into the contest with a 4-10 record after their 3-1 league loss to A.C. Flora (Columbia, SC).
