The Rutherford Bulldogs held off the visiting Wallington Panthers volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Bulldogs now have a 8-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Saddle Brook for a non-league test on Friday, October 6. Rutherford will confront a Falcons team coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Park Ridge (Park Ridge, NJ). The Falcons record now stands at 9-4.

The Panthers (10-6) will now prepare for their test against Secaucus (Secaucus, NJ). The Patriots enter the non-league test with a 13-1 record. In their last test, Secaucus held off Glen Rock (Glen Rock, NJ), 2-1, in a non-league test.
