In Thursday's league battle, the host Searcy Lions volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the West Memphis Blue Devils.
The Lions (11-15) will now prepare for their battle against Batesville (Batesville, AR). The Pioneers come into the 5A East battle with a 9-8 record. In their last battle, Batesville achieved victory over Nettleton (Jonesboro, AR), 3-0, in a league battle.
Next, the Blue Devils clash with the Valley View Blazers (Jonesboro, AR) in a 5A East battle, on Tuesday, October 10. West Memphis will attempt to advance on its 2-13 season record. The Blazers come into the battle with a 21-8 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Siloam Springs (Siloam Springs, AR).
