In Thursday's league battle, the host Wausau East Lumberjacks volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln Red Raiders.

The Lumberjacks (7-13) will now prepare for their battle against D.C. Everest (Schofield, WI). The Evergreens come into the Wisconsin Valley battle with a 19-9 record. In their last battle, D.C. Everest beat Merrill (Merrill, WI), 3-0, in a league contest.

With the loss, Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln drops to 1-28 on the campaign. The Red raiders travel to Wausau West (Wausau, WI) to battle the Warriors in a Wisconsin Valley contest on Saturday, October 7. The Warriors come into the contest with a record of 10-19. Wausau West lost 3-0 in their recent league contest against Stevens Point (Stevens Point, WI)
