In Saturday's league challenge, the host Valley Stream Central Eagles volleyball team scored a close 3-2 triumph over the Oceanside Sailors.

The Eagles (5-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Freeport (Freeport, NY). The Red Devils come into the Conference 1A challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Freeport was nudged by Valley Stream Central (Valley Stream, NY), 3-1, in a league challenge.
