Fans at Saturday's league battle between the Manzano Monarchs (Albuquerque, NM) and the host Capital Jaguars (Santa Fe, NM), saw Manzano's soccer squad hold off Capital by a count of 2-1.

The Monarchs (7-7) will now prepare for their battle against La Cueva (Albuquerque, NM). The Bears enter the 5A District 2 battle with a 11-2 record. In their last battle, La Cueva tipped Santa Fe (Santa Fe, NM), 7-0, in a league battle.

Next up, the Jaguars battle the Eldorado Golden Eagles (Albuquerque, NM) in a 5A District 2 battle, on Wednesday, October 9. Capital will attempt to upgrade on its 4-8 season record. The Golden Eagles enter the battle with a 10-3 record after their 3-0 league win over Sandia (Albuquerque, NM).
