Fans at Saturday's league battle between the Eldorado Golden Eagles (Albuquerque, NM) and the host Sandia Matadors (Albuquerque, NM), saw Eldorado's soccer squad knock off Sandia by a count of 3-0.

The Golden Eagles (10-3) will now prepare for their battle against Capital (Santa Fe, NM). The Jaguars enter the 5A District 2 battle with a 4-8 record. In their last battle, Capital by Manzano (Albuquerque, NM), 2-1, in a league battle.

Next up, the Matadors battle the Santa Fe Demons (Santa Fe, NM) in a 5A District 2 battle, on Wednesday, October 9. Sandia will attempt to upgrade on its 6-8 season record. The Demons enter the battle with a 9-5 record after their 7-0 league loss to La Cueva (Albuquerque, NM).
