Fans at Saturday's league battle between the Washington Academy Raiders (East Machias, ME) and the host Foxcroft Academy Ponies (Dover-Foxcroft, ME), saw Washington Academy's soccer squad knock off Foxcroft Academy by a score of 3-0.

The Raiders (5-2) will now prepare for their battle against Narraguagus (Harrington, ME). The Knights enter the non-league battle with a 1-8 record. In their last battle, Narraguagus by Jonesport-Beals (Jonesport, ME), 3-1, in a league battle.

Next up, the Ponies confront the Maine Central Institute Huskies (Pittsfield, ME) in a Class C - North battle, on Tuesday, October 8. Foxcroft Academy will attempt to improve on its 5-4 season record. The Huskies enter the battle with a 1-8 record after their 3-1 league loss to Bucksport (Bucksport, ME).
