Fans at Saturday's league battle between the Rogers Vikings (Newport, RI) and the visiting Middletown Islanders (Middletown, RI), saw Rogers's soccer squad knock off Middletown by a count of 2-0.

The Vikings (3-7) will now prepare for their battle against Narragansett (Narragansett, RI). The Mariners enter the Division 3 battle with a 5-2 record. In their last battle, Narragansett tipped Mt. Pleasant (Providence, RI), 4-1, in a league battle.

Next up, the Islanders battle the Ponaganset Chieftains (North Scituate, RI) in a Division 3 battle, on Monday, October 7. Middletown will attempt to upgrade on its 5-5 season record. The Chieftains enter the battle with a 6-5 record after their 3-0 league loss to Scituate (North Scituate, RI).
