The crowd at Saturday's league bout between the Lamar Thunder (Lamar, CO) and the visiting Alamosa Mean Moose (Alamosa, CO), observed Lamar's softball team get by Alamosa by a tally of 8-1.

The Thunder (15-5) will now prepare for their bout against Southeast Colorado (Wiley, CO). The Angels go into the 3A Tri Peaks I bout with a 11-5 record. In their last bout, Southeast Colorado tipped Burlington (Burlington, CO), 15-1, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Mean Moose battle the La Junta Tigers (La Junta, CO) in a 3A Tri Peaks I bout, on Tuesday, October 8. Alamosa will attempt to advance on its 10-12 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 9-12 record after their 13-6 non-league loss to Pueblo South (Pueblo, CO).
