The La Plata Bulldogs softball team scored 12 runs and held the host Atlanta Hornets to 2 in the Bulldogs league win on Saturday.

The Bulldogs now possess a 16-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Northeast for a non-league battle on Monday, October 7. La Plata will confront a Bearcats team coming off a 8-2 non-league loss to Eugene (Eugene, MO). The Bearcats record now stands at 21-4.

With the loss, Atlanta moves to 5-12 on the season. The Hornets travel to North Shelby (Shelbyville, MO) to confront the Raiders in a Class 1 District 10 battle on Monday, October 7. The Raiders come into the battle with a record of 12-6. North Shelby won 11-0 in their recent non-league battle against South Shelby (Shelbina, MO)
