The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Lawson Cardinals (Lawson, MO) and the host Oak Park Northmen (Kansas City, MO), observed Lawson's softball team get by Oak Park by a tally of 10-4.

The Cardinals (15-9) will now prepare for their bout against Mid-Buchanan (Faucett, MO). The Dragons go into the Class 2 District 14 bout with a 25-2 record. In their last bout, Mid-Buchanan was routed by Oak Grove (Oak Grove, MO), 4-2, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Northmen clash with the North Kansas City Hornets (North Kansas City, MO) in a Class 4 District 16 bout, on Monday, October 7. Oak Park will attempt to advance on its 9-19 season record. The Hornets go into the bout with a 3-14 record after their 4-1 non-league loss to Excelsior Springs (Excelsior Springs, MO).
