The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Tri-County Mustangs (Jamesport, MO) and the visiting Mercer Cardinals (Mercer, MO), observed Tri-County's softball team notch a victory over Mercer by a final score of 13-3.

The Mustangs (3-4) will now prepare for their bout against Linn County (Purdin, MO). The Mustangs go into the Class 1 District 12 bout with a 0-17 record. In their last bout, Linn County was routed by La Plata (La Plata, MO), 16-1, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Cardinals battle the North Harrison Shamrocks (Eagleville, MO) in a non-league bout, on Monday, October 7. Mercer will attempt to better on its 4-8 season record. The Shamrocks go into the bout with a 4-15 record after their 11-7 non-league win over Hardin-Central (Hardin, MO).
