The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Putnam County Midgets (Unionville, MO) and the host Schuyler County Rams (Lancaster, MO), observed Putnam County's softball team prevail over Schuyler County by a tally of 16-1.

The Midgets (11-14) will now prepare for their bout against Highland (Ewing, MO). The Cougars go into the non-league bout with a 19-5 record. In their last bout, Highland knocked off Monroe City (Monroe City, MO), 15-1, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Rams clash with the Scotland County Tigers (Memphis, MO) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, October 5. Schuyler County will attempt to advance on its 4-14 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 5-9 record after their 5-0 non-league loss to Salisbury (Salisbury, MO).
