In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Alma Panthers volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Central Montcalm Hornets.

The Panthers (12-15) will now prepare for their challenge against Chippewa Hills (Remus, MI). The Warriors come into the non-league challenge with a 2-9 record. In their last challenge, Chippewa Hills lost by Grant (Grant, MI), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Hornets meet the Evart Wildcats (Evart, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, October 5. Central Montcalm will attempt to upgrade on its 7-11 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 6-7 record after their 3-0 league win over Lake City (Lake City, MI).
