The Avon Pirates (Avon, SD) volleyball knocked off the host Corsica/Stickney Jaguars (Corsica, SD), 2-0 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Pirates now possess a 10-10 record. They play next when they travel to Burke for a non-league bout on Saturday, October 5. Avon will clash with a Cougars team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Boyd County (Spencer, NE). The Cougars record now stands at 17-1.

With the loss, Corsica/Stickney drops to 8-9 on the campaign. The Jaguars travel to Irene/Wakonda (Irene, SD) to clash with the Eagles in a non-league bout on Saturday, October 5. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 2-12. Irene/Wakonda lost 3-0 in their recent league bout against Centerville (Centerville, SD)
