In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Vista Panthers volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Clairemont Chieftains.

The Panthers (3-23) will now prepare for their challenge against Carlsbad (Carlsbad, CA). The Lancers come into the Coastal (NCC) challenge with a 16-7 record. In their last challenge, Carlsbad lost by Rancho Bernardo (San Diego, CA), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Chieftains meet the Mira Mesa Marauders (San Diego, CA) in a City - City challenge, on Tuesday, October 8. Clairemont will attempt to upgrade on its 7-16 season record. The Marauders come into the challenge with a 4-16 record after their 3-2 league win over San Diego (San Diego, CA).
