Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Notre Dame Nikes (Burlington, IA) and the visiting English Valleys Bears (North English, IA), observed Notre Dame's volleyball team top English Valleys by a tally of 2-0.

The Nikes (19-11) will now prepare for their contest against Mediapolis (Mediapolis, IA). The Bulldogs enter the non-league contest with a 14-13 record. In their last contest, Mediapolis beat New London (New London, IA), 3-1, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Bears meet the B-G-M Bears (Brooklyn, IA) in a non-league contest, on Monday, October 7. English Valleys will attempt to upgrade on its 6-16 season record. The Bears enter the contest with a 6-11 record after their 3-2 non-league win over Keota (Keota, IA).
