Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Fremont-Mills Knights (Tabor, IA) and the host Riverside Bulldogs (Oakland, IA), observed Fremont-Mills's volleyball team hold off Riverside by a count of 2-1.

The Knights (17-8) will now prepare for their contest against West Monona (Onawa, IA). The Spartans enter the contest with a 13-11 record. In their last contest, West Monona was tipped by Odebolt Arthur Battle Creek Ida Grove (Ida Grove, IA), 2-1, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Bulldogs battle the IKM/Manning Wolves (Manning, IA) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, October 8. Riverside will attempt to move on its 22-3 season record. The Wolves enter the contest with a 9-13 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Lawton-Bronson (Lawton, IA).
