Hutchinson Salthawks (Hutchinson, KS) boosters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Newton Railroaders (Newton, KS), 2-0 in a non-league test.

With the win, Hutchinson improves its record to 11-11 on the season. The Salthawks host Maize (Maize, KS) to encounter the Eagles in a Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail Division I test on Tuesday, October 8. The Eagles go into the test with a record of 13-12. Maize won 3-0 in their recent non-league test against Newton (Newton, KS)

The Railroaders now own a 8-21 record. They put it on the line next when they host Andover for a Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail Division II test on Tuesday, October 8. Newton will encounter a Trojans squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Andover Central (Andover, KS). The Trojans record now stands at 21-2.
