In Thursday's league game, the Middletown Cavaliers (Middletown, DE) football team knocked off the visiting William Penn Colonials (New Castle, DE), by a final score of 33-7.
The Cavaliers (3-2) will now prepare for their game against Salesianum (Wilmington, DE). The Sallies come into the 3A District 1 game with a 4-1 record. In their last game, Salesianum toppled Caesar Rodney (Camden, DE), 46-8, in a non-league game.
The Colonials now hold a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they host Appoquinimink for a 3A District 1 game on Saturday, October 15. William Penn will battle a Jaguars team coming off a 27-14 non-league loss to Dover (Dover, DE). The Jaguars record now stands at 2-3.
